Corroded Brake Light Socket
Yesterday I started trying to repair the lights and the back half of my '65 Dart. I had to work through several issues and have now gotten most all to work. Was working on the brake lights last. Discovered the pink power wire was disconnected from the brake light switch, probably because the switch was incorrectly adjusted and the lamp circuit was constantly "on." I connected it, adjusted it properly resulting in only the driver side lamp working correctly after replacing the bulb. Passenger side socket, the bulb was rusted into the socket. Crushed the bulb and finally twisted it out. I cleaned out the socket as best as I could. It's still pretty rusty, but amazingly the new bulb actually worked. It won't work for long I'm sure.
Are there any good fixes for corroded sockets? Anyone still making these? I haven't seen one yet on line. It's one wire, 2 terminal socket 1034.
