Borrowed a piece of metal from the old 1/4 panel. Welding it in slow to avoid metal distortion.

Finished it just now. Not pretty, but sealed up, ready for All Metal filler.

That's a little hard on the new paint on the back side of the quarter.:poke:

With my Duster done (they are really never done, I know that) ...I am back on the Dart. Clearing the engine bay next. Grill removal. Painting engine bay soon.

looking good. cleaning up the engine bay, just so you can get a little paint in, can be a real pain

I'm still on this. Trying to finish up my Duster then I can concentrate on this Dart. I got a great deal on this so I bought it.....because I know I'll need it later. I now have the new tank and fuel delivery system for the Dart. It came with an Aeromotive 18688 Phantom 340 LPH Stealth In Tank Electric Fuel Pump Kit 6-11" and relay system and this cool blue tank.

Well...I may not need it for a while....but the 20 gallon fuel cell is all retro fitted with the Aeromotive In Tank fuel delivery system. Fun project and ready to use when I get there.

Hope everyone is doing well. Had a short meeting about what to do with the Dart.... with the boss, (the Wife). We decided we are going to do a HDK front suspension on the Dart, I'm excited! So talking/messaging with Denny, he said we need a Milodon oil pan pictured below, so I ordered it. That means I have an extra Kevko oil pan and pick up tube, if someone needs one. I'll be posting it in the for sale area soon.

Welded up the trim holes down the drivers side fender and door. Jumped in. Fenders off. Front bumper and the 904 Trans comes off and out tomorrow.

Wow, that thing has tubular upper control arms on it. Do they have any markings on them?

ahhh....there was never any engine in here when I got the car. The trans was hanging in its place on a chain and the trans mount and drive shaft. You have to disconnect the steering column from the steering gear to drop the K in one piece....so, that's what goes bro.

Oooh. I missed the fact that it didn’t have an engine. That makes a lot more sense now. Carry on. :D

Seems to be a similar build happening. Lol. Cool! Will follow along now.

Filler neck delete here too. Bracing the panel on the inside before welding sure helps keep things from moving.

16 gallon fuel cell on this one.
