Bought a 1959 Buick today

It wasn’t really a kit and parts came from several suppliers. I built it 12 years ago and if you google “J Boats” it will give you the history of the AMYA class based on the America’s Cup Races of long ago. Each Hull is hand made and numbered by the maker of the hull. The number on my sail was 57 which was available and my age at the time. I also raced “EC12’s” which stands for East Coast 12 meter boats which is an actual full size racing class.
Each plank on the deck was hand laid over hand cut bulkheads. The deck was pine, the king plank and boards at the toe rails were cherry. Mast was 10' and aluminum with hand built spreaders and rigging. Sails were purchased from a sail maker, 300 square inches for a little over $300.00. You need to have an understanding of sailing to really enjoy it.
