Slick engine run stand

-
When I built my start stand, I built it as low as I could to the ground.
With an engine running, it will take off across the garage floor unless I put some 4x4's under it on cinder blocks.
It has all the electrics, radiator, fuel cell and gauges off in this pic, because I was putting it into the barn up at my farm, the mice would have had a field day with the wiring.

Here is a pic with it functional, minus the mufflers.

That's nice but where do you store it when not in use?

Man, I got to get me a bellhousing......I got everything else! F' it, Ill just attach the whole 904 transmission with a Tylenol bottle in the yoke seal. I even got a muffler.

Wow. Nice work. I like that too for a more professional unit, if time is on your side. ;)

I bought an early Hemi that was used to power an irrigation pump in Oklahoma
Came with a super strong skid type stand that mounted the engine and pump. I had one engine mounted on it at one time... Just dug it out last weekend. Might do something with it...

Lol, that would be my issue with my barely two car garage. But this has me of thinking how to make adapter mounts that plug on my lift base to save space.

My run stand is a 1980 D100 with a super rusty cab.

Holds any engine with just about any intake, and there's plenty of room to work on the engine and all the stuff on and around it.

As a bonus it also tests the entire driveline and many other things.
