@kursplat, in the Netherlands we had an oldtimerarrangement for usage of cars older then 25 years: you didn't have to pay roadtaxes. Appr. 4 years ago the goverment decided to drasticly change it into an arrrangement for 40 year old cars & you cannot drive or stall them in public for 3 months per year. Youngtimers can't have diesel fuel or LPG. Protests were quite big among carlovers but the government still pushed through this new law. The whole so called environmental measures made it nearly impossible for the happy oldtimerowner with a normal job to afford an oldtimer daily driver or a projectcar. Roadtaxes are calculated per car (taking in concideration weight & kind of fuel). For my modern Seville I pay 80 € per month on normal petrol, with LPG it will go up to appr € 180,= per month.
