People that hoard stuff, the ones that are NOT delusional, often find that they feel better once their stuff is cleared out.
In 2013, a car club member decided to clear out years of Early Valiant and 71 Road Runner parts. I brought it back here along with a '65 Barracuda, a 75 Power Wagon, a 65 Valiant convertible and a 65 Valiant Signet. Ever check prices on those "One year only" 71 Road RunnerFenders? $$$$.
He felt good because his back yard was clear again. I felt good because I had made a deal to paint his Convertible in exchange for those parts and cars. Later, it was discovered that he misunderstood the deal....He thought I offered to do ALL OF THE WORK on the car....Suspension-brakes-steering-exhaust=fuel system-assembly-convertible top....everything.
No, that was not the deal.
I ended up cutting him a check for $5000. I made out in the end though.
The Barracuda sold on ebay for $5000 after I spent about $1000 on misc parts and the repaint.
I made about $6300 on the parts and still have some of them. I still have the Power Wagon!
