Its Winter. Tell your racing life's story.

first vehicle was a 60 ford pickup that would wheel hope if you even thought about putting it on dirt.

My first mopar was a 72 Demon with a Slant Six and a 3 speed on the floor. It was the best snow car i have ever owned. would only cause me to stop when the snow pushed up into the fan stopping the water pump from turning. raise the hood, clean snow and keep on moving.
Raced a couple of 302 mustangs and beat them every time, i didn't miss 2ng gear, speed shifting(67-70- mustangs)
wish i had never sold that car.

73 cuda that has so much rust in the back end that it had a bungee cord around the leaf spring and attached to the truck lid to keep it closed. sold the front fenders and hood off of it for a 340 motor, and junked the rest of the car. (yes, dumb *** again)

Bought my 70 ply gran coupe barracuda in 1982 for $600 dollars. rebuild the entire front end and and give the 318 a tune up.
Told my parents that i was sleeping over to a friends, and took my first race down done the drag strip.(Parent did not approve of "Harsh Driving" let alone DRAG RACING!!!!!
Yup, first time out, tried to stage my back tires :D........ and ran 19 sec 1/4 mile.
340 and some gears when a best of 14.03

About 10+ years ago i took this combo racing or should i say, competing, real seriously for two year. didn't put anything into the car just focused on dial in, me and the car.
Trailered it 95 miles to the track every other weekend, ran all the two day races. It eats up a lot of money for sure.
Placed 17th my first year and was tied for 2nt place the last race of the 2nt year, but choked and ended up 4th place for the year.

That was 10+ years ago and that track is now closed. A few of my racing buddy have came up to our home town 1/8 mile track and think i'm still a threat!

408 with same gears (4.56) and a good converter, when High 11's at that track.
Still working the combo out but on a 1/8 mile High Altitude track(6600 feet) has run a best of 7.78@ 87.77 mph
