Stand by for pics! I should have the Plum Crazy 64 GT out of the body shop mid-week next week. Even though I have been there every day for the last week and a half helping put her back together, I still can't get over how good she looks!

A couple of teasers,

Well my wife and I put the new Legendary rear seat covers on the other day. Today when I got home from work I took the old covers and padding off of the passenger side bucket seat so that tomorrow we can install the new foam and cover on that one. I think I might have to wait until I get the Dart home to do the drivers side. So that I can just pop the old seat in to get it home. I picked up the new 6 leaf springs on Friday. I also dropped off the brand new Cragars at the tire shop on Friday. This is going to be a very busy week!!!

The new wheels and tires look incredible! We covered the bottom section of the passenger side bucket seat over the last couple of nights. That looks great too. We found that the video from Legendary was kind of helpful, but left a very lot of information out. Probably so that people will get fed up and send them to them to finish! Believe me, I thought about it, but my wife is really smart and figured some ways to get by the tough parts. Maybe tomorrow we might attempt the seat top. I will be going to the body shop tomorrow to spend some time there helping get things like the carpet, door panels, rear seat, wheels, leaf springs, and whatever else we need to get her done. I will post some pictures tomorrow night for sure.

We put all the windows and weatherstripping/fuzzies in, and door panels, and all the painted interior trim in. We also installed the trunk divider and insulation, package tray, and carpet today. Now I guess I'm holding the progress up, cause my wife and I have not completed the seats yet! Monday night we will move the car out of the bodywork part of the garage and into the mechanic section, so that after work on Tuesday, I can go over and install the new leaf springs and shocks, and wheels/tires.

The only weatherstripping that is not done is the trunk seal. I also think that I will be putting in new hood bumpers, and hood to cowl seal. Maybe my buddy will take care of those things while I am working on Monday.

Absolutely gorgeous. Hope someday I can get mine looking that good.

Thank you. I hope to get the wheels and tires, leaf springs, and shocks on Tuesday after work. And maybe tomorrow it will be nice and sunny out so and I will get to see her in the sun when we move her from the body shop to the work shop!

Well, we got the leaf springs and shocks and wheels on!!!!
Now its up to my wife and I to finish the seats, and clean out the garage, so that I have somewhere to put this baby! I can't believe the difference in stance with the new springs.

Thanks, it has been a long 10 months, but it was worth every minute of it and every penny too! I am so exited about getting this on the road. All I can say is that really good things do come to those that can wait! After we finished putting in the springs tonight, we just stood there in awe of how it looked. My good friend that did the paint said that while he was working on it and when I told him what my design was, that he was very skeptical of my ideas. But now that it is just about done, he said that he really, really liked it and my ideas were spot on.

Looking better everyday, we can't wait to see the finished product.

Only a couple of things left now to do. The outside mirrors, install the front seats, and install the seat belts.

The Dart looks fantastic, a true representation of your diligence & hard work.

I just started my '65 GT and was thinking about putting Plum Crazy on it. I talked myself out of it, and was settled on the original Gold. I'm rethinking my thinking again after seeing this beauty.

Thanks, I have to thank all of my good friends on FABO for helping out with suggestions and with parts that were needed that I could not source anywhere else. It wasn't just my hard work, but I believe that it was a true Team effort. I am so happy with my dream car, that I can't put words to how I feel. What a feeling! When the sun comes out and I can get home from work at a decent time, I will get more pictures to post. I tried to post a video of when I saw the car for the first time in the sun, but for some unknown reason I can't.

We finished the last seat today! Yay! Installation of seats and wipers tomorrow and insure and register also. Hopefully my courtesy lights will be here when I get home from work and those can go in to complete this project.
