Yeah when I was grinder shopping for porting, finding an adjustable of any kind is super expensive.
I was cutting a bolt with a 3" wheel on a die grinder. It grabbed once and I said to myself WTF am I doing? grabbed the 4.5" grinder with the guard and zipped the bolt off.
Adjusting an electric A/C is harder than a rheostat on a D/C. A/C needs to be duty cycled or frequency modulated. Expensive on a 15-$35 device, although buffers have them. Maybe its the amperage they draw.
