looking for information on these cars.

Anyone on here have one?

Considering a purchase and need a crash course in factory details.

First question: was battery moved to trunk by factory due to size of 383?

Pretty much the same as 68s with slight differences. Battery is in the engine compartment. Changes in interior, marker lights different. Engine call out located to the bulge hood. butt stripe changed. As far as engine I believe the camshaft profile changed. Engines were painted Hemi orange, painted valve covers, 68s were chrome. Rhinodart May chime in

Thanks. So battery in trunk not from factory. Are there any sites that provides specifics for these cars?

I have one. Wish it was in better shape. Wish i had the original 383 too. Battery was'nt in the trunk, but theres two back there now!

I was looking through the registry and found my friends 67 383 GTS.
I just got off the phone with him and he has no idea how it got on there, even has a couple pictures of it in his driveway. As soon as I read it I know it was his.

##LP23H72344***: GTS#256: Wow! Another old "Alan Miller Registry" GTS surfaces!! Mike from Ohio has had his 1967 Bright Red 383 GTS in storage for the past ten years. He gave up his house instead of the GTS in a divorce settlement! Now THAT'S dedication!! It is now being fully restored to its former glory!!

There’s a really nice 70 340/4 speed Swinger down in Tucson for sale.
