Bank fees, what are your thoughts

I put everything on MasterCard, with automatic payment by my bank. Mastercard pays me 2% cashback once a year, for being a good lil boy, and paying the balance in full every month.. Some years I have got the equivalent of 40 hrs pay. The Credit Union charges nothing for the service.
When I buy groceries I wave a points card, and collect points, which can be redeemed against future grocery purchases, and I still get to use the MasterCard. My wife shops groceries where they also sell clothes and meds. So that really adds up.
Only our Government owned Electric Company will not accept the Mastercard. I've had the same card since 1970.
This is my way of beating the system.

What bugs me is the transaction fee attached to every debit purchase. I have seen guys buy coffee at Tim's or Robin's, with a debit card. Or a two dollar purchase at a convenience store; and I'm thinking if you do that 10 times a day on such paltry sums, you could be paying 18% fees on that stoopid card. And you already had that money in the bank; they should be paying you!
I will never willingly have a debit card.
