Do you sleep easy knowing your jack is made in China?

Wait a minute... Are we talking about this type of jack?

This is a toy... It should say Fischer-Price "My First Jack" on the box. It is obviously failure waiting to happen and you can't compare it to other real car jacks and I don't care where they are made.

A Larin? One of the biggest POS jacks on the planet. I don't feel safe using any jack. That's what jack stands are for. I will speak frankly to all of you. If you can't afford proper and safe tools and equipment, you have no business in the hobby.

That's why it was just a trunk jack, until it folded after minimal, appropriate usage! Regardless, it's literally only ever hoisted Neons, which is well within its ratings (almost typed 'abilities', and had to nix that). And the one job on the Caliber which, now that I think about it, it was just used to lift a control arm, I had my normal jack in its usual spot under the lift point in case it's needed in a hurry (With stands in place, obviously)

I was under my car Sunday. It’s on 6 jack stands and cinder blocks under all tires.

When I change oil in the Calibers, they’re on Rhino Ramps plus jack stands. Wheels chocked.

I was about to ***** about this but then I re-read it and realized you weren't using cinderblocks as your primary support.

I like the way some ppl are saying they don’t trust the Chinese stuff, but can I ask how many have Chinese stuff in the homes and work places. What about in ur car and on ur car? Kim

Honestly, I go to great lengths to keep it all out of my life. No Chinese drywall, no Chinese pet food, No Chinese car parts (unless NO other options are available, and I still wouldn't run Chinese structural metal). All of the aforementioned products have been proven to be laced with toxic materials and/or inferior materials.

I don't even buy mandarin oranges any more, much to my chagrin. But I can't find them sourced anywhere but China.
