Just a point here. The car was originally equipped with seat belts per federal standards. The car was put back on the road without belts if the article is correct.
The builder is gonna get WORKED!!!
Salvage or not, the car MUST have belts to comply with federal law when originally built 70-74. If this was a fresh body that I think one company was selling, that may change things.

I thought I saw lap belts tucked behind the seats in the pics I saw on Hot Rod. That looks like an anchor bolt next to the belt.
Speedkore is like 7 miles from me. One of the principles is a friend's neighbor. I'd ask about the belts but I doubt they want to talk about it much considering legal ramifications in CA.
