Depends on how much you car smokes, lol. Mine didn't have a hole in it, so that wouldn't have helped. Yours might though, so it might work if you can keep it running.
I would use a potato, a little bigger than your exhaust if you want to try plugging it. Grind it right in the tip. Don't ask me why I know that.
I wouldn't do that for long though..your engine won't like it.
