Where are the body numbers on a 66 Barracuda?
Fender tag will show 273 four barrel (32 under the AB) and Formula S option (might be 67 under the EF, but those numbers are not clear in the white book how it should be noted). This car has the 32 with a 3 under the C and a 9 under the D. The 3 is four speed and 9 is disc brakes. Can't really decipher what the 1 under the E is. 7 under the T is tach. 6 under the Y is black vinyl top. This is a '66 Barracuda that is NOT a formula S. Can't find the handling package, which this car did have. We never did find a broadcast sheet for this car in the car (found one for a different '66 didn't match either the SO or VIN). We also know the history of this car back to 1975. And history is a great thing IF you trust the teller...
You can match the fender tag to the VIN with a broadcast sheet or IBM card, which should still be available from Chrysler.
