Double VIN stamping on M Code 440 Engine Block

I am looking for an expert in the Vin stamping department. I saw an engine block that has the same Vin number stamped twice. It looks like it was stamped in the wrong place the first time and then corrected below it the second time. Has anybody ever seen that? I have a picture but would rather not post it at this time. I can email you the picture. Thanks!

I've seen a fair number of double stamped so I think it was a common thing. A double bounce is pretty common when you hit a block with a hammer. Here is a picture of a double stamp VIN on one of my blocks.
