Well not anymore. Volvo is owned by a Chinese company (Geely) and has been since 2010. Prior to that, Volvo was owned by Ford for 11 years. It hasn’t been owned by Swedish owners for 20 years but their marketing dept doesn’t advertise that fact! They want folks to think it’s still a safe, Swedish car company.
