[WANTED] 1965 A-Body Z-Bar for a Slant

Hey everyone,

My title explains it all...I'm not sure (and my car's out in storage), but I'm pretty sure my '65 Dart has a later clutch z-bar. If there's a good one out there that will fit, I'm interested (as long as the price is reasonable). If not, I'll probably try a torch and a cheater bar to bend the one I have.

I have one from a 71 Duster 6 cyl if that will work.

Thanks, but I think they changed in '67.

This is what I'm dealing with; you can see how the lower arm doesn't line up with the clutch fork. The picture of the '64 Dart seems like it has a similar problem, only not as bad as mine. Weird. Either way, thanks for the pics.

I think that is a later model slant based on the number of freeze plugs. I could be wrong and it wouldn’t not be the first time.

The car is a 64 the engine may very well be newer. 68 perhaps.

I’ve got a pair of Z Bars that came out of a V8 65 Barracuda and a 65 slant Signet, both with a 4 speed. They look the same. Are you looking for one from a 4 speed or a 3 speed which Might be the same or maybe not?
