here. after seeing what a mess the car he bought ended up being, i sent him a box of stuff to try and help out. with his humor, which i don't have a problem with, just reminds me of work, he started the above thread which has prompted others to join the club
 
Good people on this site we may disagree on some things but willing to help when we can.

Thank you again for that. Sometimes my sense of humor goes a 'bit' overboard though, I realize that, and I'll work on that.
I wouldn't even attempt to fix this car if it wasn't for this site, and the awesome people on it. Thank you again!

And I thank you again for sending me the carb. It'll be nice to have a known good carb to use once I get that 340 back in the car.
I just hope someday I can help someone out as much as all of you have helped me to get one of these cars back on the road where they belong.
