I may not call it restoration but.........

I'm at a bit of a standstill now, my 340X heads are in need of some time in the machine shop, seats need help, and valve tips are mushroomed slightly, I suspect from the triple springs that were installed by the PO. Heads have bronze guides already installed, so that's a plus, but I am out of budget now. Thought I would use the stock 360 heads instead, at least to get it together, but have spent most of the day cleaning them up, found 1 broken bolt and 1 broken stud on the exhaust side of one head, not having great deal of success getting them out. Also PO had broken a stud and drilled it out well oversized on the other head, plus those threads are bad, may need a helicoil. Thinking I'd rather spend money on the X heads if I have no choice than to spend it on the stockers, so I may have to wait until next spring before I can afford to get them done and get the motor back together. Not an ideal situation but I can't spend a lot more at this point this year. Set of TTi headers cost me over $1250.00 after the damned currency exchange and shipping, plus all of the other parts I've bought this year. Thinking I might just take a step back and try to save some more $$ over the winter months. I will give some thought to selling the LD4B intake, but that means I will need to find another one as I have already sold the Victor 340 that came with the car. I was very happy with the Air Gap I had on my last small block.
