I got a 68 B body posi 3.23 8 3/4 for my 70 dart, I've read all about the spring perch getting moved in a 1/2, no biggie, I can get wheels made with almost any backspace, no biggie, I'm going with narrower wheels than most guys, maybe 15x7 or 14x7, I don't care about having wide tires, it's just a driver, anyone do this with success? is the rear still going to be too wide? thanks in advance, sorry to beat a dead horse!

I don't see a problem doing this swap as long as you aren't concerned about super wide tires and are willing to get custom wheels and tires to fit comfortably in the wheel well.
A friend of mine has that exact set up you were describing in his '68 Dart and doesn't have a problem with it.
I say go for it and after it's installed, measure for the wheel offset you need and go from there.

The first time I did that was 36 years ago.

Move the perches & come up with a drive shaft the right length.

Easy peasy make sure you take pictures of what you're doing so you can pass it on to the next guy who asks this question and you can answer all those questions. It's how the forum works for everybody...
Lord forbid one day you'll post so much someone will call you a guru LOL...

MattyP,
Spring perches and wheel backspace/offsets are the only concerns. It sounds like you've done your research and you are ready to go...

...I mean that B-body rear end is totally useless and I'd be happy to take it off of your hands and scrap it for you. :D :D

Check out @72bluNblu 's data on axle widths. This will help you when picking out your wheels to maintain the desired fender/spring clearances:
