2019 9th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Are You Ready For Some NITRO?!!
Here are the results and point standings following completion of the 19th NHRA event of the 2019 season, the 35th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals, the 1st event of the six-race Countdown.
Let's just say the game results from this event also weren't quite as stellar as usual, but better than the Lucas Oil Nationals. Congratulations to 'johnnycuda' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the Mopar Express Lane Nationals with a total of 110.0 points. He was helped with both E.T. and Speed bonus points in Top Fuel and also with the bonus points for the new E.T. National Record set by Brittany Force during qualifying. His Funny Car pick lost in the finals, his Top Fuel pick lost in the semi-finals, his Pro Stock Motorcycle pick lost in second round, and his Pro Stock pick lost in the opening round of eliminations. 'Back in Time' (FABO) took the event runner-up spot with 96.5 points. '64BEL' was the top FBBO finisher with 53.5 points. Like I said...not as stellar as usual

The 20th race of the 2019 season and the 2nd race of the Countdown, the AAA Insurance Midwest Nationals, is September 27th-29th at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois. Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle are competing at this event. As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, August 30th in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Professional qualifying is scheduled to start at 4:15PM EDT (1:15PM PDT). The Midwest Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 16 Top Fuel. 17 Funny Car, 13 Pro Stock and 16 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries.
