New car rant

You traded in a WRX and got 1500 less than you paid for it after 3 years? WTH did you pay for it originally?? Uhh, if new was only $1500 more than 3 years old, I reckon someone would pony up for new. Ive never heard of such a return on a trade-in unless that WRX was a super model (Like the Buick GNX) and the next version tanked. Sounds like you got the deal of the century. Good on ya..
Not hard to do if you are smart, I bought a 2012 challenger RT 6-speed manual that was 9 months old and had 3,000 miles on it, clean car $28,000
Drove it until it had 18,000 miles, no winters, kept it clean.

Traded it in on a new 2017 RAM 3500 that came in on the car trailer with new 2018's.
The dealer had the RAM marked down $10,000 still on the trailer, I bought it and made them throw in a new tonna cover, got $28,000 out of the challenger, so basically I drove it for free.
And got a new truck for $11,000 difference, the challenger was paid for, and so is the truck.
So now I have a two year old truck, the first new vehicle I ever bought sitting in the driveway with 7,000 miles on it.
I use it to tow with, and it has never seen winter salt, so it should last me for a long time.

Granted I bought a new Tacomo in Feb for gas mileage/parts hauler and I love that little truck, already have 8,ooo miles on it. But only have to put fuel in once in a while is nice.
Toyota was dealing at the first of the year on their new ones, I bought it straight out with no trade, it stickered for over 30K, I said I would only give the 25K and they took it. I will wear this truck out.
