Ric Ocasek, Lead Singer of The Cars, Dead in New York at 75

Wow. He actually lives a couple towns away from me. Ran into him in a restaurant with his wife a few years ago. I remember thinking how tall that couple was. I spoke to him for a minute and he seemed like a nice down to earth guy. Too bad.
 
I always loved their music. Always used him as an example of ugly dudes can get a woman as long as they got money. May his ugly *** rest in peace. Thanks for the music Ric.
 
His “Ugly” mug kept her 28 years....

I liked the cars a bunch. Good band. I did t know he was here in town (NYC) But the. Again, I don’t star watch/hunt.
 
Really saddens me, I have every album they put out plus their greatest hits compilations. I hated it when Ben died a lot of his songs were my favorites, seems we lose a figure from our youth every day now.

Definitely sad news. One of the all time greats, of one of the all time great bands. RIP Ric, you will sorely be missed.

The Cars, my favorite band back in my high school days. Still play it loud in my garage, cranks me up! Always hoped for a reunion even with the loss of Benjamin, guess that will never happen now. True loss...
