So I just swapped my 74’ Slant Six k frame for a 72’ V8 k frame and I thought the pump mounting was the same but it’s not quite. The pump doesn’t sit down far enough to be aligned with the mounting holes. Seems that the pump is hitting part of the k frame. Is there a difference in the years for pumps and I don’t know if this V8 k frame was manual or power either. My car has power steering.

Which pump, there are 3. Are you running a slant still or a V8? If Saginaw pump and V8, yes the pressure line will hit the K-Frame engine mounts with 73-newer brackets. I found the CVF mounts puts the pump higher and the line clears better. Somewhere on the site I posted pictures.

Chrysler Small Block Power Steering Bracket (318, 340 & 360)

They sell them in black too.....I wish they would have when I bought them...

I’m gonna be running a 360 and I was gonna use the slant six p/s pump until I found that it’s hitting on the bottom side of the pump on the k frame. I was told all p/s pumps mounts are the same.

I think Slant brackets are different than V8. The pump is the same.

What pump is it?
