Reverse manual valve body questions

It is actually a safety issue ..
If I look down at the oil pressure gauge in the traps and it is at zero I would like to kick it out of gear before the rods kick out of the bottom.

The last thing I would want to do is 'downshift' on the way to neutral.
The chip won't save it.

BTW .. it's a JW built trans and I don't know the brand of the valve body.

So if post #11 is Crazy, then I guess you are saying it WILL down shift on the way to neutral ?
