Jacks

52 year old OEM bumper jack, and lug wrench. New spare tire.
Same, plus a box of standard rh/lh lug nuts for steel rims.
Well the spare isn't that new. It was good enough to use for a short time when I needed it.

Honestly, normally I also have a pair of tool boxes in which ever vehicle I'm driving.
One has a set of triangle emergency reflectors (use like flares), a pair of wheel chocks, 1/2" drive socket set, amongst other basic tools for roadside issues.

the last spare tire was from the early 80s, plus I mounted a narrow tire on a narrow (4.5") rim so it sits flat in the trunk.
Never looked for a date code, E78 with a plug in it. Need to replace it with a fresher D78 or equivalent but low on the to-do list.

Spotted this at a show earlier this year. Guy had a floor jack with the handle nicely secured in the trunk on the "shelf" right behind the rear seat. Not the greatest photo, but here's a look...

What are you carrying in your trunk in case of a flat?

Factory bumper jack and currently no spare in the car.
I mostly drive locally, but when I go out of town I throw the spare in.
I considered the floor jack idea, but it would have to be well secured or it could redesign the rear quarters.
Didn't like the weight either.

The part that sucks about the scissor and bottle jacks is you practically have to get under the car to place them.
