With higher (numerical) gears like 4.10 etc you are multiplying the available torque that goes to the pavement more so how is it that a lower (numerical) gear would be easier to spin (I didn't say that) when you'd have less available torque to spin said tires given the torque multiplication would be less with lower (numerical) gearing?
Would they spin at a faster speed at any given engine rpm vs a higher (numerical) gear at the same rpm? Yes of course they would. I just don't see how having less available torque being applied from the rear wheels to the ground is somehow supposed to make it easier to spin the tires?(Again, Ididn't say that) If that was the case why are 2.76 highway gears not just roasting the tires at every stop light but cars with 4.10's can easily spin the tires?
