Hi everybody:

How do you get one just like this off. I heard..Turn to the left and pull. Is that right? I just don't want to break anything.

If I can remember right from my old 69 charger, the deluxe horn pad has 1 screw under the center medallion. Pop the medallion off, remove the screw, and remove the cover. Let somebody else chime in before you attempt that. My memory is a little fuzzy on that, since that was back in 1990 when I had that car.

I'll try it. Right now though the company truck's computery stuff shut right down on the highway and I'm dealing with that ...DOH!!

It is the correct wheel . But they are pretty modern compared to all the other 60s mopar wheels you see.

With a tiny tool like a jewelers screw driver, push in past the plastic center button edge & pry it out. Be gentle!

Behind it is a small bolt that retains the pad & ring.

May help to use a little silicone protectant around the edge to slick it up to get the medallion to come out as well.

As far as I know that was the earliest of the padded horn rings. You really didnt start seeing many in Abodies until 75ish

Nice car overall, but theres some changes I would make to it starting with the tail stripe removal, and ending with the removal of the gages tacked up on the A pillar.

I missed the Apillar gauges . Which I would kinda like to have .
Agree with the tail stripe... I would go back to a factory white Swinger stripe

I was referring to that wheel being early padded not 69 MY. I have perused the Hamtramck site ...its a great way to learn.

Gotr ..Just took out my columb. Switching things around a bit to manual steering. I actually really like this type and they aren't crazy expensive like wood wheels
