Bad day on the assembly line?

To further add to the 80 Civic I bought new. The car was stolen twice in Brooklyn and I got it back both times and it still ran great. I stopped driving at 205,000 miles with the the original clutch, thermostat, fan belts and timing belt. In 80 Honda didn't really have a great reputation, but what I read gave me the confidence to buy it. I kept the car for 15 years commuting from Long Island to Brooklyn approx. 50 miles 1 way. I stopped driving it because I felt I would start it 1 day and everything would let go. I did replace the water pump because I knew if it overheated the engine wouldn't survive. That car sold me on Honda's. My 83 Chrysler was declined to be covered under the Lemon Law, but had so many problems from day one.
That's real good mileage on the stock timing belt on a 80 Honda Civic.
