Tame my 4-speed Stroker....

Well on word for those who want to give this a possible try...
Here's a couple technical things that I ran into:
First to trim the all thread (and I haven't yet) you can take the cap off the back of the adjuster and run it through the adjuster until you get everything set. Pretty much like you see it in the pictures. Once everything is set and you figured out the amount you're going to cut off go ahead and cut off from the other end that connects into the Tamer itself. Reason being is because that last half of the all thread has a Groove that runs along it that works along with the bearings that's around the rod to fall into it so you can feel the clicks every half click when you turn the knob. Eventually the outer knob needs to be locked on or Loctited on to the rod and turn the rod itself. It's like my rear shocks were you turn the center and it adjusts them harder or softer depending but how many turns. This confused me at first because when I connected the two together I had turned the rod and made it really stiff and I wasn't sure if I broke something, but this is exactly how it's supposed to work. I guess really the first first thing I would do when I got it if I did it again would be to not only take the knob off and pop that back out of it so the all thread can go all the way through it but go ahead and spin the little Jam nut (provided) on in front of it. The idea is to use the jam nut on the outer knob until everything is set and you can just Loctite the outer knob on or just leave the jam nut. Trim to length just under the cap and put the cap back on.
I push the little bracket that hooks on the pedal shaft up as far as I could. It allowed the smallest travel and still be within the Tamers 3 and 1/2 inch throw. I unhooked the clutch bar from the pedal so it would swing freely. I push the pedal to the floor and pulled the tamer bracket about a half inch past where I have it attached to the dash. That allows me to know I have an extra half inch of travel leftover....

FWIW Rumble and YR are very knowledgeable guys, both are very helpful.
Their fuses may be a little short.
But, all in all they are good guys.
My fuse completely burned out and caught fire years ago.
now they call me mellow yellow.

Well it looks like Thursday is the first good weather according to the weather people LOL which who knows...
I'll try and get the last loose ends so hopefully before the weekend I'll have an idea of how this thing works...

Full on Home Project now...
I'll be lucky to have the seat and trim back in and time to play with it by Thursday. Weather doesn't look too bad here coming soon that these next 3 days are taken anyways...

Still no opportunity to work on the car. Still on jack stands. Neck deep in the wife's remodel.... Making good progress, but realistically mid week next week if things keep moving along as they have and the weather cooperates...

Don't know about up there, but it's was raining down here in Salem all week until today.

Well, you got this project wrapped up yet or what? I ain’t got all year! My future tamer purchase hangs on the degree of success you have. Get going man.

Not a Mopar, but I got a call this morning from a guy in AR with a '98 Camaro. It's a cam only car that last year had a T350 with a BTE converter. Best with that trans/converter was 7.59@93. This spring he installed a T56 with a Spec 3+ clutch, result was a best of 7.70@93. He then installed the HitMaster version of the 'tamer and took it to the track this last weekend to dial it in, by the end of the day ET was down to 7.45.

ClutchTamer customers had a good weekend. Clair Stewart won his first NMRA Coyote Stock championship, Dan Ryntz won his second NMRA Factory Stock championship, and Larry Cleveland won the Rocky Mountain Stick Shifters using a 'tamer to control the hit of his Youngblood dual 7".

No doubt, after this thousandth left turn I now have been considering if I want to be nice about this starting a new thread right from the beginning just posting all the pictures and how I put it in how it works. I know someone suggested this from the beginning after it already started the thread but oh well. I kind of thought it would be fun take everybody for a ride see how this thing works out, but as usual it just turns out into the normal chaos...
too bad in case somebody was going to learn from this, it just goes into so much argument about stupid s*** that 90% of people would just give up and say awa screw it....
