Huh? The 3 types of older Mopar style alternators I was exposed to were:
"New, not remanufactured, lifetime warranty...$90
"remanufactured" 1 year warranty...$49.
"economy model" 90 day...$29.
The new not reman looked the same but shiny, it was a Cardone or Whatever make. The reman was just that but the case never had a pentastar on it so it was a reman of someone elses casting. maybe that had to grind the pentastar off it for trademark reasons? Economy was just like the reman but a shorter warranty. I always got the reman and turned it in 88 days later if it was the slightest bit off spec. My 351C Ford ate starters. I bought the lifetime warranty one and they paid for that starter 4 times.
