looking to build a Dana 60 for my 70 duster will a ram van Dana 60 rear work (are he housing tubes the right size to narrow it)? Can get one locally fairly cheap.
Will a Dana 60 out of a ram van work for narrowing?

Will be thick tubes, you can neck it down near the housing with thinner 3" tube if you're concerned about weight. Have the stubs welded around the housing as well.
Some years not for a factory width A body. The short tube is to short. If going shorter than A body width it should work. Kim

I wonder if c body axles and ends would work; shortened and resplined?
