Anyone know how to remove the factory RF fender antennae from the fender? Upper base has two flats. Lower retainer, under fender, is just strange. LH threads?? Turning it R does nothing, it just wants to spin.

The antenna hole in the fender has notches that keeps the whole assembly from turning in the fender.
Sounds like the raised part on the antenna that fits the notch may be rounded off. Your gonna need to get a crescent wrench to hold the piece on the back side of fender while loosening the antenna using the flats. The top piece with the flats is a nut threaded on the the mast which fastens the antenna to the fender.

Here’s a pic from the site to give you and idea how the assembly goes together

Hmm. Thanks. Already tried that - with vise grip on lower retainer and open end wrench on upper base flats. Did not budge. RH or LH threads? Thanks for the response, btw.

Right hand thread. have you tried any type penetrant on it?
