Well, I'll be 50 in a couple months. Started messing with these things when I was 16. And I'm fortunate to have a great Wife that understands and supports my addiction. lol. And lucky enough to financially afford it.

71 Sometimes I feel like I'm 81. Sometimes I forget how old I am and try to work like I'm 40 and then, later, I feel like I'm gonna die.

When I figure out this ahole who coined the phrase "you are as young as you feel" I'm just gonna kill 'em. NOW how young do you feel? LOL

You're only as young as the woman that you feel.... :p

All yo have to do is look at a picture from say Carlisle Mopar, says it all.

I was born in 75, grad high school in 93, college in 98, been working ever since. Thankful I didn’t have cell phones and internet growing up. It seems most people sit around staring at little screens in their spare time instead of doing something. I don’t get it. The web is a wonderful tool but not a huge part of my life. I’d rather be out in my shop playing with my stuff. I’ve been told I’m old at heart, but I don’t think so, just a little grouchy sometimes. Getting old is starting to suck, shouldn’t have drank so much beer maybe

I go the other way.
I am silly, obnoxious, unafraid to speak the unfiltered truth and outspoken. This is often interpreted as being rude. Older folks are often put off by that. Younger guys have been more understanding. I do tone it down around the seasoned folks though out of respect but I often feel like a 440 hanging around a slant six crowd!

I recently got fired for telling a 23 y.o. kid that he messed up. If that little punk had seen the **** I saw working on Harley's for a living, he'd run back to his parents with his tail between his legs. I'm going to disagree: People are too goddamned soft these days.

You had me fooled that you have 20 years on me.

I was thinking you were early 30s as well. It helps your case that you are pretty good looking for your age, probably better than some guys I know my age. But don't go get a big head and not fit in your charger anymore.:rolleyes:

Agreed, I figured Kerndog was in his twenties. I'm 41 m'self.

Don't forget, the majority of Mopar enthusiasts are the age of people that owned these cars when they were new....and got money at middle-age to buy them again.

Which means the 'fad' of Mopar musclecars has already begun to die off which means...Get your repro parts now while they're still available!

Joined 12 years ago when I was 17. Now I’m with in the 25-35 crowd. This is BY FAR the longest I’ve been apart of an online community.

You haven't been swarmed by women cause your up at 1 o'clock am when they have already chased down their choice!

Thank you for the kind words. I love to compliment people that I find attractive...sometimes it is a rush to see them smile or squirm from embarrassment! I did that tonight at the sandwich shop... The Wife and I were at the counter and I said...."You have a really good face. It is pretty. I like that. I'd still like you if you were ugly but....it is nice looking at pretty faces instead of ugly ones." Mary just laughs at my silliness and pretends to be embarrassed by it. I compliment good looking guys too. So far, none of them has been freaked out by it.
I am a realist though. I have never had a TV or movie producer chase me down to tell me that I could be a STAR. I've never been swarmed by eager women that I have had to run away from them!

I joined only about 6 years ago, but have had the Mopar bug all my life. I am 34, but I get carded everywhere I go. Lol.

You shut your whippersnapper mouth. Quit skateboardin' on the sidewalks, you hippy.

I joined 8 years ago I'm 34 been wrenching on mopars since I was 16 iv always had the mopar bug caught it at a very young age thanks to some guys in the neighborhood and my school bus driver lol. I remember when I was about 7 years old my school bus driver was a big drag racer (still is but he dont drive anymore he owns the local track now) he was wearing a mopar shirt I asked him what's a mopar ? He said if you have to ask you wouldn't understand. I said no I want to know what is it? He said it's a certain group of cars dodges Plymouths and Chryslers. Well dodges where always my favorite as long as I can remember so I was like cool I love dodge I must like mopar. He just laughed and told me to get back in my seat. So when we got off the bus he said your neighbor up in the hill has a mopar go talk to him about it. So I got off the bus and went and ask mom if I could go to the neighbors house and talk to him she was just like sure but confused why. So I walked up the road knocked on his door a he came to the door and I said, Steve told me you have a mopar he said yea it's in the garage he opened up the doors and there set the most amazing car I had ever seen now mind you I'm about 7 years old I dont know **** about nothing yet haha. There set the prettiest 1969 dodge dart it was gold with a black roof he let me set in it I remember it was a 4 speed. Then he started telling me about this other neighbor he had a 69 cornet 440 he took me over there and showed me all of his cars he the cornet a 72 demon and a 68 charger at the time I didnt know any of them but it set me on the mopar path. Fast forward about 8 years or so now I know what my neighbors cars are and I go over and talk and mess with them all the time I spot a 68 from a 69 charger from a mile away etc. The 72 demon was a slant 6 car the charger was originally a 440 car but it was gutted and made into a race car in its past. By this time the other guy had gotten married sold his 69 dart and moved away, well I'm 15 years at this point it's like September my 16th birthday is about 4 month away and I go to with my parents to look at a house they were looking to buy. And there in the driveway sat my 75 dodge dart swinger. As soon as we pulled in I started screaming omg it's a dart it's a dart. My dad was just like shut up boy we ain't here to look at the car. A little back story I spent my entire summer that year working construction for a guy that we went to church with and I saved every penny I also mowed and weedeated for all my neighbors so I had some money put back my parents didnt know about haha. So as soon as the realtor came out I asked is the car for sale too? He said idk I but I will check so he called and sure enough it was my dad was like I ain't buying that rust bucket pos. I said you dont have to I worked all summer remember i have money. So I bought the car for 500 bucks and my dad drove it home lol. He hated it from day one I spent the next 6 months or so fixing it up and getting it drivable by the time I got my license 16 and 4 months I think what it was back then it was ready to roll God I loved driving that car I miss it so much I cant wait to get it back on the road again. Now fast 18 more years I'm still working on the pos my dad warned me about haha but I love every minute of it.

Sorry for the long story!!

Only 1 in the "Under 25" group? Scary. Been riding in A-bodies since I can remember, bought my 1st A-body at 14, and did my first valve job on a set of 318 heads at the automotive center at age 16. I'm still South of 50, but I see tailights…. LOL.

That'd be me! I hope my asshattery as a young'n makes up for all the wisdom you all have and brings it back down to about average :D.
I joined here after buying my '68 Notchback as my first car at 15, that was four years ago. I can't express how grateful I am for everyone supporting me with my addiction and for the endless wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and advice you guys have. Y'all are awesome!

Started as a member here in like 2008 I think, maybe 06. Cant remember.
I was in my 20's....5 or 8 screen names later I'm 40yrs old.

I joined in 2010, have owned nothing but Mopars all my life, I'm 61 and since my back repair I'm going strong!

Will be 57 in two weeks. Need to drop a few pound but can’t leave the beer alone. LOL. Still feel great but go one day at a time. I have not really visibly aged since my wife passed in 2015. Truly believe she passed some type of positive mojo on to me kinda like Tom Hanks in the green mile.
Can’t believe I have been a member on fabo for over 11 yrs.
Best site in world in my opinion.
Thank you all.

I was 15 in the 10th grade and had just got my learners permit when I bought a 68 Barracuda notch for $365. The Barracuda was 8 years old. You do the math, I am going to take a nap!

Too Fast to live Too young to die
When I do no one will cry
Oooooooo man that won't hurt me
