It would have started life in Hamtramck, MI before being sent overseas to be completed.

He knows a lot about the idiosyncracies and facts about these cars and how they were built etc.
BTW, cars sent to Canada or built in Canada had regular V.I.N. numbers same as the ones sold in the U.S.
Mexican built cars (AutoMex) had their own way of assigning V.I.N.s, I have seen a few.
