Hello Experts
I want to know if the Hooker Super Competition headers 51I5 will fit my car.

The car is a 1969 Barracuda with a 340...
Thanks.

I just need a nice set of headers that will fit a 69 A body Barracuda 340,
I would like a good to real good set of headers, but I'm not real clear when you say "big tubes" or long tubes for that matter. I have headers now on the car the engine was/is being rebuilt and the headers on the car now, need to go.
They have more bumps, dents on them than the moon has craters. I'm sure it's effecting the way the car is breathing out, the restriction must be bad.
I'm hoping you can see what was/is there now and have an idea what it had before I change them.
Thanks.

When I asked if you needed " big tubes", I was wondering if you had a really " built" engine. You do not. You have/need a typical set of "street" headers. A few bumps and bruises really don't affect the performance. However, if you want something nicer, more power to ya. Can't hold that against anyone. TTI is the most expensive, Doug's or Headman the least. Pick your poison and get after it. Good luck with your car!! Looks nice!!

Thanks for the input but I'm not sure if I mentioned the engine is being completely rebuilt... Sad to say the six pack will go, but a very good chance 2 x 4 will go on top of the new engine (i believe it will be about 2 C.I. larger than the 408 stroker you seem to have.
The fellow who built is telling me the headers must go, I just don't want to chop the car (body) up, this is why I don't want the fenderwall headers.
I'm trying to stay away from buying unless I have no choice brand new headers, as they are an arm and a leg up here (Canada) close to 1400 dollars for a set of TTI's, without any extra small parts, collectors etc..
This is the reason I'm looking for a set from some one who may have a extra set for sale.
Even though W2,5,9, heads were not used the engine is still a pretty decent street machine for me.
This does not mean that down the line I don't change heads all over again,

Thanks for the input once again.

I just bought a set of TTI's, ceramic coated, small block headers. Cost me $1253.00 CDN to have them shipped to the Montana border. This is my second set, honestly I would not buy anything else, the fit and ease of installation is well worth the expense IMO. They may well be the most expensive part on my car when I'm done. BTW, they include all bolts, gaskets, and collectors with the kit.

Are you sure that they are not part number 5116??? I used to run those, but the left side hangs down under the steering linkage and will get banged on curbs, speed bumps and will crush the pips very badly and block up to 70% of the flow and then will get a hole rubbed through and will leak... I switched back to stock exhaust manifolds....

Good for a race car, but not a street driver....

You have really done a number on me, no pun intended.
I'm not sure now if that's a 5 or a 6, I have the same pic you are looking at and wishful thinking is wanting me to believe that it may be a six now but Damn I'm not sure and I don't want to buy them and they don't fit.
Is there any other way I can find out ?
Thank you.

The B and E body Super Comp headers all go behind the steering linkage. The A body Super Comps, the front tube drops down through the k member. Then goes back to the collector. I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I had them (Hooker) on my 69 cuda. Hang down so low on the driver side they get smashed easily as said above. Waste of money.
