The problem is you'll have a 1000 cfm double plumper and a progressive linkage would only help slightly but would ruin fuel distribution at part throttle. Two 4 barrels will only use the primaries at part throttle so in my case I'd have a 600 double plumper then at wide open up to 1200 cfm (although my little 318 probably won't create enough vacuum to fully open the secondaries).
