When you know you are not dealing with a mopar person

Went to a cruise in a couple years back, saw a really nice looking 68 Charger in a dark blue. It really was a beautiful car.
Guy who owned it had a really nice custom sign sitting in front of the car.
It had professional pictures of the car, owners name etc.
In the specs portion it listed the engine as a 426 Hemi.
I look at the engine, its a big block, but no Hemi. Looked to me like a 440, which is respectable.
I figured the owner either was in the process of going to a 426 or put the 440 in for some reason.
When I asked, he went on the defensive. Swearing up and down I didn't know what I was talking about and I wouldn't know a hemi if it hit me upside the head.
I just walked off and let him do him. I wasn't trying to critical, I was just wondering.
Walk over to a guy who had a Polara w/ a wedge in in it. He saw the Charger guy go nuts on me. The guy tells me that I was probably the 3rd or 4th person to say something to him about the 426. Apparently the Charger guy used to come to the cruise in with a Triumph or something. He sold that and bought the Charger, knew little about it, and gave way to much for it.
I never saw that car again. Shame too, it really was a damn nice car.
