Mopar drain plug 6035417 for replacement

This drain plug is about 1/2 longer. It is going to work without interfering with the pickup?

I always put a thin bead of RTV around the plug right where the threads meet the sealing washer. (after I dry the plug off well of course)
Dry as a bone every time.

Of course I understand that some people have an aversion to using RTV on anything.
