Like oldmodlover I’m in that stage of looking, I hear that the butterfly’s will leak... eventually.
So I have been looking for a cutout that doesn’t use butterflies but a gate, like a hose bib. But coming up empty handed.
They do have a 5 year warranty. I'd say that's pretty good. It does state that you are not supposed to operate them (activate the switch) under any load. Only at idle or with engine off, as operating them under a heavy load can damage them. But that seems reasonable to me.
I'm not trying to be a salesman, just relaying my experience with this brand and so far, so good.
