I am working slowly on my wife's and my 66 dart convertible and needed these pieces for an original looking part for the wife's car. (mine is customized and doesn't matter too much) I ordered a piece that was supposed to be for that area in the rear panel "top trim inner panel cover" ....it was UGLY and didn't look like the original at all soooooo. I'm making it .

here is the part I'm speaking about. it's a cast piece and doesn't look good at all

here is the design for the new piece

next making it real....well at least what it should fit over anyway

had a little webbing I need to address but it looks like it'll make some usable parts after I do the needed spacing and adding the 5 degrees draft I forgot to add(DUH!).

now I have to figure out how to cut it out on the homebuilt CNC..

Bwahhhhhahahaha it worked! Ive got some good pieces off the first try... no perfect but they can be used in my car yeah! Cutting them out will be a precision thing that I'll have to jig up for repeatability. But it worked just by using the bad mold as a jig.
here I am doing the (well the CNC is) major cut

sorta rough looking since I didn't pin the molds into position

original and replacement I'm stoked since I've never got a usable part off the first pull..
I do have to admitt that I'll be tweaking it but I can actually use these parts

You’re making me a set too, right?? :)

Sure will .

I'll be making a couple tests and then after I've fixed my location jig I'll buzz about 10-12 sets out to fill my stock level and work on the side pieces again..

I would be much appreciated. I’ll keep the cash warm until then!!

got some more testing done today and it looks like I can now make these part ok(couple ooops's in there but 5 sets out of 6 on the second try isn't bad) . now to find some black plastic that will work.

Well, I did, but I didn’t know it until you asked. Somebody put the envelope out in the garage and never told me it came. I’ll try em this weekend and report back. I’m sure they’re going to be awesome tho.

Cool I was worried that they might be lost in the mail..

You have me down for a set correct?
yep you, 808-dart GT and a few more that want them, I'll only have white for right now, it seem that my supplier doesn't stock the double sided smooth in the thickness or in black , not really a huge seller and they only order every 3 months so I'm stuck with white.BUT you can bulldog adhesion promote it and then use krylon plastic spray to paint it what ever color.

White is better for me since I will be coloring it to Aqua.

Yeah and they went the same day at the mopar meet. I'll be runinng some more in the middle of the month if the shop I go to for plastic is still open.
Oh, ok, I think I miss understood, I thought you’ll send me a message when ready, do you need a deposit?
Do you have anything in stock (kick panels, convertible passenger panels?, glove box?)

No need to send a deposit(they were special order for a friend (and they were clear plastic to boot)
I'll send out the messages in this post. The ones for the show were for a friend and his group (special order(from a disabled vet and his group). for clear ones were the ones I made for that show and I don't think they are going to be as durable as the ones I like to make, but they added their decals to the inside and then painted over them for a super cool look like Rc car bodies are painted...)) I do have 2 sets of kick panels left on this run, and I'm trying to finish up the jig for cutting out the Glove boxes(got 4 good ones pulled but not cut yet). So I can get them ready for sale. the bigger rear side panel pieces are on hold since I can't get plastic sent to me due to the lock down and the place is closed until further notice. Give me a couple more weeks to gather supplies and I'll be posting what I do have for sale.
