I saw where that"suicide machine" was up for sale
With the whole Kevin Hart cuda lawsuit in the works, if I owned that miata I'd think long and hard about selling it, because if that Cuda was considered unsafe, that Miata is rolling death, and completely unsafe except for doing donuts in an empty parking lot
As far as the whole Kevin Hart cuda goes, I call BS, because I guarantee I can get my /6 duster going fast enough to flip it on a curve on mulholland
It was driver error plain and simple

I read that he specifically asked to have the traction control removed , among other modifications, never mind that someone else was driving, and a third person was in the back, yet it was designed as a 2 seat car.
What bothers me is when an average Joe wrecks a high performance car, he gets charged by the authorities, raped by the insurance company, and basically has no recourse. Here again there is a "celebrity" involved in a serious crash in a custom built high performance car, and immediately the term lawsuit comes out. Why does the builder have to be held responsible for the sheer stupidity of an individual? How many people have been killed in sports or high performance vehicles over the last 50 or 60 years? From James Dean to Paul Walker, people die as a result of the bad decisions made by themselves or others. How does that make the builder or manufacturer liable?

You know guys i think you need to consider what is happening to the freedoms of all of us. Anything I have heard about this is being driven by the California Highway Patrol and the State Legislature. This State is encroaching on our freedoms and our choices daily and it is just a start of what is in store through the nation if we sit on our hands and don't do something to stop it.
Sorry I'm off my soap box now.

Yep. Just like these idiots blame the guns and ban those. They gonna ban the HP cars. **** this stuff pisses me off.

Guess I had not thought of the potential legal problems of a car like that. My thoughts were more of back halving the car, putting a cage in it and some bitters and seeing what it could actually do in the quarter. I guess a T bucket would probably be easier...
speaking of lawsuits and common sense; when we graduated high school,a fellow was selling a 65 Falcon with a 429 and 4-speed. It had a straight axle, 9" rear and tires that hung out the side in back. It had ladder bars made of cold rolled steel that weighed 90 lbs a piece. Clean car, nice looking. The guy answers the door and fills the doorway: tall, broad shoulders, weight lifter, body builder,bouncer...you get the idea. He talks with us,doesn,t blow us off.Tells us he took it out on Main Street for a spirited test, banged second gear and lost the thing in the corn field. We look at his arms, look at our toothpicks attached to our shoulders, thanked him and left. Saved from an early death by common sense. Wish I knew what happened to that car. I guess the old sign is true: Ban low performance drivers not high performance cars.
