Did you just do this with a hand held drill and test fit the new big ball joint until you were happy?
I read in a different tread where autoxcuda said this will not weaken the spindles enough to worry about it and that the ball joint stud will break first anyways so that is good.
It also seems that the SPC comment about the "narrowness" of the old arms and plate angles is wrong, after reaming they must be a perfect fit.
