1963 Dodge Dart 270 Convertible for the Wife
It was going to be a parts car, Got it cheap with new black top and all the interior seat skins and door panels new on box $1500.00 worth of new parts cost me $800.00 . But some jackwipe just had to make a comment on the way home at the gas station about "the scrapyard is the other way about 15 miles back" pissed me off enough to make sure I fixed it. The car was in Miami under a palm tree for 4 years without a top. But it did drive and brake The frame rails and rockers were solid on it. I blew 2 trailer tires out 25 miles from home. The wife drove the truck after I got the car off it and moved one tire over to the other side so we could get it home and I drove the car (top frame was down too, hadda look cool ya know)..... just think about opening the fresh air vent on a car that hasn't moved in 4 years. then multiply it 20 or 30 times that when I got up to 55MPH the palm leaves started flying at me like ninja knives or throwing stars. I wore bandages for 3 weeks after that fiasco. the wife though I was having a seizure and stop to make sure I was okay, then had the gall to laugh all the way back to the truck AND home.
