Another project/ inexpensive/ open EFI system?????

^^That is gratifying^^ Could you post some details of how you did this, trigger, distributor, etc? Sensors?

sure I'll try and cover as much as I can. Here's a good layout photo available through the speeduino forum Beginner's Guide, by a Beginner, for before you Begin - Speeduino

I'm running the V.4 board. and I'm running the injectors/IGN in 4 channel batch fire/wasted spark. The mopar firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 so pairs 1-6, 8-5, 4-7, 3-2 are wired together this is for both the injectors and smart coils I'm using.

For my trigger input I got a 60-2 wheel off of ebay and had a co-worker open up the hole on his lathe so that I could put in on the backside of my crank pulley and then I tack welded it in place. I then made a little bracket that used two of the oil pan bolts to hold the hall effect sensor. I tried a few different ones and couldn't get a could signal I finally ended up with this one https://www.newark.com/zf-electronics/gs100101/hall-effect-sensor/dp/05M6387. Nice solid signal when viewed on my o'scope and through tuner studio.

I started it initially with just fuel and a distributor but switched to LS D585 coils running in wasted spark. I got a smoother idle than the distributor but I know my distributor setup wasn't perfect. I adjusted the dwell of the coils to match a stock GM dwell table based off of pictures other people posted online they posted. Setting the crank angle reference was pretty painless as well.

I used a Holley universal 4150 throttle body which has the TPS, IAT and IAC sensors built into it.

When it comes to injector bosses for your intake manifold there's a few different options available drilling and epoxy, sending it off to a facility that does this work or buying a pre-done intake manifold from Edelbrock or Speedmaster. I opted for the Edelbrock Multi Port intake manifold. Victor Big Block Chrysler 440 EFI Intake Manifold

For the sake of easy installation I also used the edelbrock fuel rails Fuel Injection Fuel Rail # 3640, -6 AN Clear For Chrysler RB Engine

Injector sizing requires some calculations based on fuel pressure you plan on using, max duty cycle of the injectors (usually 80-85% for safety) and HP of your engine. Flow Calculator
I ended up using a set of cleaned up Bosch 30lb injectors since I never plan on building a high HP motor for my ramcharger these coupled with a fuel pressure of around 60 PSI will give me plenty of headroom.

The rest of it is just building the board and wiring everything up. I used a Corvette fuel filter/regulator for a returnless fuel system. I can't say how bullet proof this is yet as my PSI gauge on my fuel rail has been reading higher than I'd so I'm going to be trying a new gauge to see if the gauge is incorrect or if I got a bad/clogged fuel filter/regulator. I used WIX 33737 for the fuel filter/regulator (fixed 58PSI) LS Fuel Filter Regulatorand built the fuel system in this configuration http://www.tanksinc.com/img/efils9904.jpg I've heard of other users having quality control issues with these fuel filters, so who knows. The parts on tanks inc can be had cheaper elsewhere so be sure to price around if you went this route.

Let me know what other questions you have.
