A999 as a street/strip trans.

Very good info, thanks. For a street car this could be a better way to go. No trans mods except the lockup disable in the valve body.
For modest power I could see this as a good way to go.
The only draw backs I see to doing it this way is a lockup shaft is weaker than a non lockup shaft because it is hollow and you could not use a real race torque converter(limited selection), but for a street car these are not issues I suppose.
