Kind of deceiving in those pics. Paint and a good filler job will hide a lot of stuff (original pic).Up close it looks a little worse and when you really get to looking at it, it is pretty bad. And yes, the L. front rail is toast as well as the complete floorpan, not to mention the inner and outer cowl panels. My brother came up and looked it over for me and found places I hadn't noticed.
There is a 65 valiant four-door for sale in Gainesville Florida that has a good body on it. I think it’s only like $750, but it could easily be transformed into a two door car with your front seat, doors and fronts of the quarter panels. If you don’t know how to do it, I would love to help.
Man that sounds like fun, but I already have my 64 2 door. I REALLY don't need another project. lol You could get these doors, and get the little 4 door and do it.

Yes, I may have to do that. Save the doors and fronts of the quarter panels with glass and inter stuff. I would need the longer sill plates and interior panels too.
You can speak for the glass except the front and back. That's mine. lol The doors have a little......and I mean a little rust through on the bottom of the outside. VERY repairable. Send me a PM and we can yack about it on the phone if you like.
I am fixin to post a couple of videos. You will see the doors have a little more rust than I though.......still though very repairable, IMO.

Yeah it's pretty bad. Sure it can be fixed, but dang. You'd have five times in the car what's worth.

Big sigh.... Missed it as soon as y'all left.
Don't know if you peeked under the dash at the inner cowl but it's worse than the outer. Lot easier to see when the dash is out.
One thing I don't know if you noticed was the gas cap on the filler tube. It's aftermarket but apparently not available anymore. I've seen several for sale for considerable amounts (don't know that they will sell for the asking price or close to it but who knows).
Good to know it will live on in others cars.
