That is exactly how I do it. Works great.

I put a 90 degree after on my 360 and had nothing but issues. I was priming the engine on the stand and the sealing washer on the bolt blew out. It shot a stream of oil 10 feet away. That was a mopar gasket set. I bought some "improved" gaskets and had leaking issues with those.
