1965 Barracuda 273 auto

1965 Barracuda 273 904 trans console shift. Stock 904 cable shift trans. Power steering. Was factory power brake car but previous owner was too lazy to rebuild the original booster and installed aftermarket booster that i didn't care for. Now has manual brakes that feel much better. Booster vac reservoir goes with car. "999" paint code late 1965 yellow car has been repainted and looks fantastic.

This is an original LA built CA car that stayed in SIMI Valley area until Sept. 2019. I bought the car on "Bring a Trailer" and paid to have it shipped here. The car is incredibly clean.
You can look back at previous BaT auctions, search on Barracuda and find this yellow car. Pictures are the way the car looks now.

No receipts to prove it but the 273 has supposedly been rebuilt to Commando specs. It does have the factory 273 4 barrel intake and a new Edelbrock 500CFM carb. Starts and runs and drives perfectly. Very strong. Odo shows 76K and the car certainly represents like a 76K car. New single exhaust. NICE muscle mag 15" SLT wheels (the rear wheels and tires are slightly wider than the fronts). Air shocks. Stock 7 1/4 rear.

Interior is right around 90%. Driver seat has some seam separations and headliner has small tear left rear.

When I got the car the driveshaft front joint (trunnion) boot was torn so I had a NEW shaft built with normal u joints - that shaft is on the car now. Original shaft goes with car.

There was no trunk prop so I installed the gas strut kit - works great.

Known issues:
PS pump drips a drop a day. Steering gear same. Rear diff drips from cover gasket. Dash lights are flaky - could use a new combo headlight dimmer switch. Radio works but has static from electric fuel pump (no, I don't know why he put on electric fuel pump). Left upper ball joint boot is torn.

I planned on keeping this a long time (and paid a LOT for it and shipping). If you think BaT sets the market I paid $15,155 for this car. My brother has recently become seriously ill and I have had to take responsibility for his 1964 Sport Fury. I only have time and room for one hobby car.

$12,000 or best CLOSE offer. If you have any interest send me a PM and we'll trade emails to get you more info.
